A+I Volunteers with One Love Community Fridge in Bed-Stuy

A+I spent an afternoon volunteering with One Love Community Fridge at their facility in Bed-Stuy. One Love works to eradicate hunger, food insecurity, malnutrition, and the stigma associated with all three, through an integrated, multi-generational, and inclusive movement that centers access to fresh foods, nutrition education, and sustainability.

One Love not only supports existing community fridges throughout New York, but also has a added number of community fridges throughout Brooklyn that they stock with fresh food, then available to the community for free. The fridges strategically placed close to public schools readily available for youth and families throughout Brooklyn. We helped pack bags of fresh produce to then stock the fridges with.

One Love gets their food from partners all throughout New York City who all donate to mitigate waste and extend the reach of nourishing foods for all. A+I was able to pack 360 bags of fresh produce and then stock Brooklyn community fridges.
